About Miska

While earning her degree in Journalism at Northeastern University, Miska traversed the international health sector, securing communications positions at the United Nations Foundation and UNFPA. During her internships, she produced stories spotlighting incredible humanitarian work around the world — from midwives in the Middle East to mental health practitioners at refugee camps in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Eventually, Miska made her way back to her roots, returning to the Pacific Northwest and reporting for her hometown paper, the Cannon Beach Gazette. At the Gazette, she discovered her knack for crafting tourism and business features, including a three-part series on immigrant-run small businesses. Several of her articles landed on the front page and her artful style and engaging interview skills earned accolades from editors, locals, and tourists alike.

Since then, Miska has produced thousands of captivating features and reviews that inform and drive consumers at the New York Post. In the past year, she's prepared thoughtful guides for expecting parents, analyzed the safety of strollers, car seats, and baby food, and reported on Gen Z's wackiest health and wellness trends. Her savvy for trend-spotting and translating SEO strategies has formed her instincts for unveiling and explaining retail habits, even under tight deadlines.

In her spare time, Miska has developed a passion for reviewing live events and music festivals, and she's even interviewed prominent figures, including renowned music producers and reality TV stars. Outside of professional pursuits, she enjoys spending time with her toddler, secondhand shopping, and debating the latest celebrity trends on social media.
